The Hon Daniel Andrews MP, Premier of Victoria

Daniel grew up in a small business household in regional Victoria and completed secondary school in Wangaratta. He moved to Melbourne in 1990 to attend Monash University, and in 2000 became a campaign director and Assistant State Secretary for the Victorian Labor Party.
He entered the Victorian Parliament in 2002 as the Member for Mulgrave, and was appointed to Cabinet in 2006 as Minister for Consumer Affairs and Gaming, and in 2007 as Minister for Health. He became Leader of the Opposition in December 2010.
Daniel and his wife Catherine have three children - Noah, Grace and Joseph. While a family man first, he's also interested in history and is a self-described golf tragic.
