Join us for our first Young Professionals event in Melbourne for 2019 as we hear from three experienced leaders across the Major Transport Infrastructure Authority discussing the challenges in the current infrastructure boom and what they mean for the changing needs of the client.
Our guest speakers include Brodie Woodland, Director, Commercial and Legal - North East Link Authority; Alexis Davison, Director Program Services & Engineering - Major Road Projects Victoria; and Damian Brizzi, Rail Infrastructure Package Director - Rail Projects Victoria.

Brodie Woodland, Director, Commercial and Legal – North East Link Authority
Brodie is an experienced public sector executive and lawyer, with broad legal, commercial and governance experience. She has over a decade of public sector experience in infrastructure, transport and justice portfolios. Her current role is Director, Commercial and Legal for the North East Link Authority, the Victorian government agency delivering Victoria’s largest ever road infrastructure project.
Brodie has a Master of Public Administration and practical experience in leading and managing in the public and community sectors. She has held general counsel and company secretary roles in the public sector, and has provided executive level leadership in legal, commercial, governance and risk management functions.
Brodie is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and an experienced board director, with a background in housing, community services and the arts. She is a board director with the Springvale Monash Legal Service, appointed to that role by the Dean of Law at Monash University. She is also on the board of Common Equity Housing Ltd, a housing association that owns over 2,200 properties across Victoria with a value in excess of $800 million.
Alexis Davison, Director Program Services & Engineering, Major Road Projects Victoria
Alexis Davison is a civil engineer who has had a successful career spanning the public and private sector, both here in Australia and in the UK. She has held various roles in the transport field across all project phases from early planning and business case development, through design stages and onto construction.
She has worked on a wide variety of projects including:
- M5 motorway tunnel project in Sydney
- Design and construction of major projects in the UK
- Business case development for the Level Crossing Removal Project
- Development of Plan Melbourne (the Governments’ strategic plan to guide growth of Melbourne up to 2050).
Alexis Davison is currently the Director Program Services and Engineering at Major Road Projects Victoria. At MRPV, Alexis looks after business case development for new projects, planning and environmental approvals for all projects, and leads a team of engineers who support project teams to deliver successful projects.
Alexis has a keen interest in the early planning and development of infrastructure projects and supporting and encouraging women in the engineering profession.
Damian Brizzi, Rail Infrastructure Package Director, Rail Projects Victoria
Damian Brizzi has over 15 years’ experience in civil engineering across a number of rail organisations.
His extensive experience working in rail includes as a site engineer at McConnell Dowell, as a project manager with John Holland as a part of the South Morang Rail Extension Alliance, as a signalling engineer manager at John Holland as a part of the Regional Rail Link project and as a Project Manager and Rail Systems Construction Manager with Metro Trains Melbourne.
As Package Director for Rail Infrastructure, Damian has overseen the procurement and contract negotiation for the $1 billion package to build the tunnel entrances for the Metro Tunnel Project and is responsible for managing the contract throughout construction.

Bookings are to be confirmed and paid in full 48 hours prior to the event. Bookings received 48 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed unless a confirmation has been received by the Events Director. Cancellations should be notified in writing by email. Cancellations received prior to one week before the event will receive a full refund less 25%. No refund will be applicable for cancellations received after one week prior to the event although substitute delegates are welcomed.
