The Port of Brisbane is investing some $600 million in infrastructure improvements over a five year period (from 2017-18), including the $158 million Brisbane International Cruise Terminal currently under construction and the Future Port Expansion (FPE) reclamation project on Fisherman Islands.
To talk about these and other projects and how they will impact on traffic and freight movements in and around Brisbane, we're pleased to be joined by Port of Brisbane CEO, Roy Cummins.
Roy will be joined by Amanda Yeates, Deputy Director-General at Transport and Main Roads, to provide a refresh on issues from within her Infrastructure Management and Delivery portfolio.

Roy Cummins, Chief Executive Officer - Port of Brisbane Pty Lld
Roy was appointed to his current role at PBPL in June 2015. With over 25 years experience in the ports and shipping industry, he has worked in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Australia.
Prior to joining PBPL, Roy served for almost six years as Chief Commercial Officer of Global Ports Investments Ltd, the largest stevedoring group in Russia and Eastern Europe. He spent three years as Chief Executive Officer of DP World in Vietnam and was a member of the Board of Directors of Saigon Premier Container Terminal, a ‘greenfield’ port development project.
Roy has also held various positions in the P&O Group in both the liner shipping division (P&O Nedlloyd) and the ports division (P&O Ports), including General Manager of the Port Botany Terminal in Sydney and the West Swanson Terminal in Melbourne.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in French and German from the University of Durham (UK) and an MBA from the University of Warwick, which he obtained in 2006.
Amanda Yeates, Deputy Director-General, (Infrastructure Management & Delivery) Transport and Main Roads
Amanda was appointed Deputy Director-General and to TMR’s Executive Leadership Team in July 2018. Prior to this, she held senior positions within TMR including General Manager Program Delivery and Operations, Regional Director North Coast and Wide Bay Burnett and General Manager Integrated Transport Planning. She started her career in local government.
In her current role, Amanda oversees the delivery of the integral program of infrastructure projects and the maintenance and operation of the state-controlled road network. This includes delivery of TMR's record $21.7 billion program of works over four years. Her leadership responsibility encompasses Engineering and Technology, Program Delivery and Operations, RoadTek and New Generation Rollingstock.
Amanda is a passionate advocate and supporter of workforce diversity and is committed to fostering and environment and culture that supports a vibrant, diverse, collaborative, safe, rewarding and high performing workplace.
