For our first Young Professionals event in Brisbane for 2020, we're pleased to be joined by Julie Mitchell, Deputy Director-General (Policy, Planning and Investment) at DTMR, Colette Munro, Chief Digital Innovation Officer at AECOM and Hugh Morrison, Asia Pacific Engineering Manager for Bechtel.
Julie, Colette and Hugh will be talking about innovation and technology - including digital engineering - in the construction and transport space, and what it means for the next generation of young engineers and leaders coming through.
This is another fantastic opportunity for the 'under 35s' to pick up some important lessons from industry leaders and catch-up with their peers.

Julie Mitchell, Deputy Director-General (Policy, Planning and Investment), Dept of Transport and Main Roads
Julie was appointed to her current role in March 2018. In it she sets the future direction of the transport system in Queensland, ensuring investment across the road, rail, public transport, active transport and freight networks is balanced as part of a single integrated transport network.
She defines and shapes key strategies, policies and plans for an integrated transport system that supports the safe and efficient movement of people and goods, while driving value for the community.
Colette Munro, Chief Digital Innovation Officer at AECOM
Colette leads a deliberate strategy to digitise AECOM's design and engineering consulting business across the Asia Pacific, as well as leverage the new opportunities that digitising infrastructure brings. Her team uses a combination of agile and lean methodologies to develop, test and host digital solutions for clients and create new digitally enabled career paths for AECOM staff.
Prior to joining AECOM, Colette led architecture and software development for the digital customer experience team at Schneider Electric, where she worked across Australia, the US, Europe and South Africa.
Hugh Morrison, Manager of Engineering Asia Pacific, Bechtel Infrastructure
Hugh has been involved in engineering and construction for over 30 years. He's held senior management roles in the delivery of public and private infrastructure projects including roads, tunnels, bridges, airfields, buildings, materials processing facilities, tailings and raw water dams, concrete foundations, wharves and jetties.
Hugh has a passion to see increased skills in the workplace and the transfer of knowledge though good mentoring.
BOOKING POLICY AND CONDITIONS
Bookings are to be confirmed and paid in full 48 hours prior to the event. Bookings received 48 hours prior to the event cannot be guaranteed unless a confirmation has been received by the Events Director. Cancellations should be notified in writing by email. Cancellations received prior to one week before the event will receive a full refund less 25%. No refund will be applicable for cancellations received after one week prior to the event although substitute delegates are welcomed.
