As Chief Executive of the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure, Tony Braxton-Smith oversees planning policy, strategy, transport delivery and services and the delivery of key social and economic infrastructure for South Australia.
We're pleased to host Tony via webinar as he outlines some of the key opportunities and challenges for the year ahead, particularly in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Tony Braxton-Smith, Chief Executive, Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure
Tony became Chief Executive of DPTI in October 2018. He is also the South Australian Rail Commissioner and Commissioner for Highways.This new role encompasses overseeing a broad range of government objectives, ensuring the effective delivery of services involving planning, transport and valuable social and economic infrastructure across South Australia.
Formerly the Deputy Secretary Customer Services at Transport for NSW for seven years, Tony’s prior career spans 20 years in senior executive roles in the private sector with Great Southern Rail and Serco; Dreamworld and the P&O Group.
