OUR SPEAKER

In her role as Commissioner, Louise McCormick plays an integral role in ensuring the Territory builds the strategic public infrastructure needed to deliver critical job-creating projects in line with industry and population growth, while providing a crucial link to achieving the NT Government’s goal of a $40 billion economy by 2030.

An award-winning engineer with more than 20 years’ experience across the transport and infrastructure sectors, Louise is a Fellow of Engineers Australia chartered in Civil, Structural and Executive Engineering.

Louise represents the Territory on several national boards, committees and working groups, including as the Deputy Chair of Austroads, Australian Road Research Board (ARRB), the Infrastructure Investment Forum and I-Body National Forum. Most recently Louise was the first Northern Territory-based and second woman to win the prestigious Roads Australia 2022 John Shaw Medal.

Over the 17 years Louise has worked in the Northern Territory, she has been involved in the planning, delivery and management of some of the Territory’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects for the Territory Government, including being Co-Chair for the INPEX Transport Subcommittee which governed the transport infrastructure for the delivery of the onshore component of the AU$60 billion Ichthys LNG energy development. More recently, Louise was instrumental in securing approximately $3 billion in Australian Government investment in to infrastructure for the Middle Arm Sustainable Development Precinct, Regional Logistics Hubs and roads.

Refund policy

Cancellations should be notified in writing by email. Cancellations received prior to one week before the event will receive a full refund less 25%. No refund will be applicable for cancellations received after one week prior to the event although substitute delegates are welcomed
