Richard leads Transport's Customer Strategy and Technology Division, bringing a customer and future lens to shaping mobility solutions and providing the state-wide services of today. In his role, he ideates, plans, and delivers the future and leads a passionate and capable team.
The division’s focus areas are to:
- Set the strategy for the Transport cluster to enable the movement of people and goods
- Collaborate across government, industry and research sectors to deliver world class mobility solutions
- Champion the voice of the customer to deliver seamless, end-to-end journeys and places
- Communicate the strategy, initiatives and achievements to our customers and communities.

Richard Host is an innovative technology industry thought-leader with strong business, technology, finance, and procurement experience at a Band 3 level in private and public sectors and is nationally recognised as one of the top CIO's.
For the past 16 years as a government CIO, Richard has delivered technology that has pushed the boundaries of the traditional public sector. He was the first to deploy Microsoft cloud-based collaboration systems in Government, the first to massively deploy Google Chrome box, the first to deploy SAP on Hana, and the first to deploy sophisticated mobile operational systems for front-line firefighters.
Richard has played a pivotal role in building one of the largest technology teams in Australian Government.

Cancellations should be notified in writing by email. Cancellations received prior to one week before the event will receive a full refund less 25%. No refund will be applicable for cancellations received after one week prior to the event although substitute delegates are welcomed
