RA member McConnell Dowell set target of 17 per cent female participation for its project team working to deliver early works on the Beveridge to Albury (B2A) section of the ARTC Inland Rail project.
But in a powerful demonstration of what the right approach to workforce recruitment and retention can achieve, this target has been well and truly exceeded, with the project team’s workforce now comprised of 45 per cent women.
The development comes as McConnell Dowell continues to attract record numbers of women to pursue careers in its business. The number of women working across the organisation has now increased by 64 per cent since 2014.
