Transport for NSW (TfNSW) has selected RA member Georgiou to deliver a $66m package of works that will upgrade King Georges Road to improve safety and reduce congestion.
Around 43,000 motorists travel in both directions every day along King Georges Road and experience significant congestion between Stoney Creek Road and Forest Road, particularly during the weekday peak.
Supported with investments from both the NSW and Federal governments, the project will widen King Georges Road to accommodate three lanes of traffic in each direction, and provide a dedicated right turn lane on King Georges Road southbound.
Georgiou Chief Executive Officer Gary Georgiou said:
“We are proud to apply Georgiou’s track record to these improvements and look forward to applying our experience working in delivering complex road infrastructure to the project.”
