National Women in Transport Dinner celebrates high achievers

RA was pleased to be in attendance at the inaugural National Women in Transport Dinner, held in Sydney last week and attended by over 60 leading women working in the transport and infrastructure sectors.

The inaugural Women in Transport Dinner in Sydney on 2 June was attended by CEOs of sponsoring organisations and 60 senior women from across the transport infrastructure sector.

National Women in Transport is an initiative designed to showcase, support and increase the number of Australian women working in transport, including through its Speaker Bureau, which was officially launched during RA’s International Women’s Day lunch in March.

Last week’s dinner built on the success of that launch, providing a perfect opportunity for attendees to discuss how we can actively collaborate on initiatives to increase the number of women working at all levels across the transport sector.

The dinner was hosted by the Australasian Railway Association (ARA), and followed the first meeting of the CEO Advisory Group for National Women in Transport, which includes RA CEO Michael Kilgariff.

RA looks forward to remaining actively involved in the ongoing rollout of this exciting industry initiative.
