The RA team is pleased to welcome its newest member this week, with Daniel Paez joining us as Senior Policy Officer.
Daniel is a Civil Engineer with a PhD from Melbourne University, and has over 20 years of experience in the transport and land use planning sectors.
He has held senior transport focused roles within governments at the local, state, and federal levels in Australia, and his expertise has been actively sought by local governments seeking to develop their own transport strategies.
Daniel has developed strong capabilities in working on high-performing interdisciplinary teams, supporting the development of transport and land use policies, and ensuring appropriate consideration of emerging issues in policy development, including community and stakeholder needs.
He has authored multiple papers relating to transport issues in Australia, and recently contributed to two book chapters related to sustainable development goals and the impact of COVID-19 on freight and passenger transport.
