Members of the RA team were proud to take part in the Shine A Light On Road Safety Walk held by Road Trauma Support Services Victoria (RTSSV) on Sunday, 1 May.
As we prepare for National Road Safety Week from 15-22 May, the community walk around Albert Park Lake was an important moment to honour the memory of those who have died on our roads, show support to the families of those affected by road trauma and commit to doing more to ensure everyone gets home safe.
Now in its ninth year, the event drew hundreds of participants and included presentations from Victoria’s Minister for Roads and Road Safety, Hon. Ben Carroll MP, Bernadette Nugent, CEO of RTSSV, as well as moving stories shared by those who have been affected by road trauma, reminding us all about the importance of igniting hope, connecting with others and creating positive change.
