2025 Fellowship Alumni Award winner
Alex Yee, Chief Executive of Egis ANZ as the inaugural recipient of the Roads Australia Fellowship Alumni Award.
Awarded annually to one of the remarkable leaders that exist today across the 360+ Fellowship Alumni Network, this new Award recognises a past Fellow for making an outstanding contribution to the transport sector.
A 2015 Roads Australia Fellow, Alex Yee took part in the inaugural year of the Fellowship Program and has distinguished himself as an innovative leader in the transport sector ever since.
Since taking the reigns at Egis ANZ in 2021, Alex has successfully led an ambitious growth strategy. He has extended Egis’s reach in transport, built environment, energy, water and asset management to scale a team from 150 to 1200 in three years across ANZ.
Over the past decade, Alex has made a significant contribution to the Fellowship Program and volunteered his time generously to support the next generation of leaders including as a mentor to 2024 and 2025 Fellows.
Alex’s efforts have not only strengthened the Fellowship Program but have also contributed to the overall development of a high-performing, diverse, and inclusive transport sector. His outstanding contributions have left a lasting impact on Roads Australia and the industry as a whole.

About the Award
The Fellowship Alumni Award is a new initiative from RA, and recognises the Fellowship Program’s role in fostering our sector’s emerging transport leaders.
The new Award will recognise past Fellows annually, for making an outstanding contribution to the transport sector by supporting efforts to cultivate the next generation of industry talent.
This new award will coincide with the Fellowship’s 10-year anniversary and will provide an opportunity to showcase some of RA’s 300+ Fellowship Alumni.

Selection criteria
- Fellowship Alumni – Recognised participant of Roads Australia Fellowship Program.
- Field of Contribution – Indicative areas of contribution include active participation in the Fellowship Alumni Network, supporting delivery of the Fellowship and Emerging Leaders program, supporting current and future program participants and actively supporting efforts to establish a high-performing, diverse and inclusive transport sector.
- Level of Contribution – The contribution must be outstanding and this will be assessed on the basis of its impact on Roads Australia, its program delivery and the industry.
- Personal Achievement – It must be demonstrated that the candidate’s contribution significantly reflects personal endeavour, as distinct from the work of others.
- Further Potential – Ideally candidates for the award will still have further contributions to make to the industry and the community. It is expected that the award will recognise their achievements to date and thereby enhance the opportunity for the candidate to make yet a further contribution.
