Each year, we host our flagship lunch across capital cities in Australia and New Zealand. They’re our largest events of the year and help our industry come together to celebrate our achievements, reflect on the year gone by, and share our excitement for the year ahead.
We’re trying something different in Canberra this year, to reflect on the happenings and changes in the Territory throughout 2024 and beyond.
This December, Roads Australia will host a policy discussion, followed by a celebratory lunch in Canberra.
Following a re-assessment of our national threat level, the Australian Government introduced a suite of reforms to our critical infrastructure protections - expanding the four critical sectors to eleven and expanding the scope to include sectors like telecommunications and transport. The legislation has been active for two years, with most companies' obligations in our sector commencing within the last eighteen months. Each of our sessions are geared towards discussing the protections, their operability, and how we can work to make our sector and ultimately our nation safer for all Australians.
After the Policy discussion, guests will enjoy a celebratory lunch and hear more about what’s next in achieving a world classes transport system across the ACT (including freight) as well as tackling decarbonising infrastructure delivery/net zero transport, road safety, skills shortages and productivity.
