Join us to hear from Hayden Heta, Managing Director, Wamarra, about increasing Indigenous participation across the transport industry workforce at our upcoming Spotlight on Social Procurement.
As the managing director of an Aboriginal-owned and operated civil construction company, Hayden is passionate about ensuring Indigenous workforce participation results in long-term, sustainable benefits that outlast project cycles.
A proud Wiradjuri man, Hayden has extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, providing him a strong insight into the challenges and opportunities that arise when working towards social procurement targets and delivering ongoing community benefit through construction projects in both urban and regional contexts.
Hayden’s keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion, with representatives from industry and government highlighting examples of successful social procurement initiatives and how our industry can transition towards a more representative workforce, resulting in broader social and economic returns on investment.
