Two recent announcements confirm that RA members are at the core of driving another major transport infrastructure project in Victoria, the much-anticipated Melbourne Airport Rail.
Rail Projects Victoria has appointed Laing O’Rourke to commence utility relocation works as part of the Early Works package to clear the way for the project’s construction.
In addition, Beca will serve as lead design consultants for the Maribyrnong River Bridge Package, working with other RA members Rail Projects Victoria and Winslow (as well as FCC Construction) to deliver this component of Melbourne Airport Rail.
This new bridge will be built alongside the existing heritage bridge built in the 1920’s and will become the second highest bridge in Victoria (after the West Gate Bridge).
