Infrastructure leaders gather at RA lunch

Some of Australia’s most influential leaders in transport and infrastructure met in Sydney today for a thought provoking Roads Australia industry lunch.

The event was headlined by keynote addresses from senior leaders at the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts in David Mackay (David M.), Deputy Secretary, Regions, Cities and Territories and Jessica Hall, Acting Deputy Secretary for Infrastructure.

Jessica spoke about the Commonwealth’s focus on being an informed, influential and connected investor in infrastructure, while David outlined the government’s development of a National Urban Policy, alongside renewed engagement with regional communities.

David and Jessica were joined by Adam Copp, CEO of Infrastructure Australia and Howard Collins, OBE, Coordinator-General of Transport for NSW for a broad ranging panel discussion, touching on the need for further collaboration between industry and government, ongoing infrastructure reviews, the NSW budget and the end-to-end customer experience.

Many thanks to Stantec for supporting this event, bringing together some of the nation’s most respected infrastructure leaders.
