Transurban & RMS outline unsolicited proposals process

June 9, 2015 – RA members and guests were privy to an exclusive briefing on lessons learned through the NorthConnex unsolicited proposal process at a special lunch in Sydney today.

Expert guest speakers at the lunch were Andrew Head, Group General Manager NSW, Transurban, and Ken Kanofski, Chief Operating Officer, NSW Roads and Maritime Services.

The briefing took guests through the entire process from concept development and submitting the proposal; confirming the D&C price; passing the uniqueness test; developing commercials (funding and financing); Federal Government contribution; concurrent planning approval; and eventually achieving financial close. The presentation was especially timely in light of future stages of WestConnex and the keen interest in market led proposals across the country.

This event was kindly sponsored by Hyder Consulting.

Photographs from the lunch can be viewed / downloaded HERE.
